Want a clean house, but don’t want to spend hours and hours getting there? Here are a few time saving tips that will help you get everything clean in the fastest possible time, and keep it clean.

Set up a schedule

Cleaning is a lot easier if you have a set time to do it every week. So, if you dread cleaning the bathroom, take time to schedule it for 30 minutes once a week. Lots of other events in life are scheduled, so why not add cleaning to the list? Scheduling the task makes it seem less daunting. Plus, a once a week cleaning that only takes 30 minutes is better than spending an hour once it gets really filthy. Keeping the task small and manageable helps make it a bit more tolerable.

Don’t Wait

Hate looking at the dirty dishes sitting in the sink for days on end? Avoid that situation all together and you will never have to look at a dirty sink. Clean the dishes immediately after every meal. If you have a dishwasher, load the dirty dishes directly from the table. Don’t let them sit in the sink or on the table. The only dirty dishes that should ever be left in the sink should be pots and pans that may need to soak in order to remove burn or baked on food. Everything else goes directly into the dishwasher. If you don’t have a dishwasher, you will have to wash them by hand at the end of every meal. It will only take a few minutes compared to the time it will take if you let them build up for a few days.

Keep Supplies Close

You are more likely to do quick spot cleaning if you have the supplies right next to you. Therefore, it is worthwhile to have a set of cleaning supplies in each room that needs regular cleaning. Each bathroom should have a set of cleaners, gloves and sponges or whatever is needed to clean that room. This way when a mess occurs, the cleanup is easy and can be done immediately.

Following these few steps will make your housecleaning chores quicker and easier and will help you keep your house cleaner than it’s ever been.
